There are also “randoms” walking scared in the night.

We, as leaders in our community, have a responsibility to protect “randoms” through providing training and tools to raise awareness and knowledge before it’s too late. Prevent it before it happens.

We also, as leaders in our community, have a responsibility to reach out to potential “idiots” and inspire them to choose a better path before they become “idiots” and do something they’ll regret for life.

This video inspired me to truly take a stand for both “idiots” and “randoms” as they both need our help.

We subscribe to the idea that kicking and punching has little value in today’s world, however we use the physical aspects of our martial arts to practice leadership skills that will last forever.

This video is an example of how we practice our leadership out in the community and take our training off the mat and out of the dojo and put it to work in our world.

We planted one tree for every student at Leadership Academy. It represents someone planting a seed at White Belt and as their leadership grows and their respect grows and their confidence grows through their training, their tree will grow along side them, reminding them of their journey to Black Belt and beyond.

Focus, Discipline, Respect, Leadership and other life skills cannot be learned
by reading about them in a book, they have to be practiced and experienced to
truly understand.

Project Based Learning is a great way to immerse yourself (or your child) in a
leadership role in your community. This brings me to the top 10 reasons that
YOU should be practicing Project Based Learning at home and in your community
(outside of school and beyond the classroom)…

1. FAR REACHING
   It is our view that project work – particularly group project work – reaches learning outcomes that other teaching methods simply cannot reach
2. POSITIVE
   Everyone (especially children) love to feel challenged and have something to focus their energy on. When they have something positive to focus on,
   they are not focusing on negative things that will get them in trouble.
3. FUN
   Your project that you start can and should be FUN. Turn it into a game, a challenge. Include your friends and neighbors. If you’re not having fun
   with this project, you should re-think your project idea.
4. POWERFUL
   When you provide opportunities for children to learn and grow, they will surprise you with their creativity, their ingenuity, their imagination,
   and their ability to get things done.
5. GREEN
   Many projects can really help our earth by focusing on environmental self defense. Sustainable projects that help conserve energy and clean our
   earth up will help children grow to be responsible adults.
6. COMMUNITY
   When you (and your children) go out into the community and complete a simple project, you are leading by example. Your project will inspire
   others to take action as well. For children, spending time in the
   community taking action will help to instill life skills that will create
   a sense of community and service that will stay with them for life.
7. SERVICE
   Project Based Leadership Training (PBLT) is a great way to develop a service minded attitude. Many activities begin to instill a sense of service above
   self. Children and adults get to experience how to achieve their goals by
   helping others achieve theirs first.
8. FAMILY
   Completing a project in your community is a great way to spend time with your family. Family time is incredibly important for your child’s
   growth. In today’s busy world, sitting down and completing a project with
   the family is incredibly important in building a strong family bond.
9. FOCUS/DISCIPLINE
   When we can set clear goals and focus like a laser beam to achieve them, we are practicing focus, concentration, discipline, self control and
   many other important skills all while helping our community
10. LEADERSHIP
    Project Based LEADERSHIP Training is designed to develop Leadership skills. Leadership after all is the most sought after skill in the world,
    it’s the most precious commodity on earth. EVERYONE is looking for real
    leadership and YOU can begin to develop those skills for your future. Your
